Description

White Widow THCa flower isn’t actually “made” but grown, as THCa is produced naturally in the glandular trichomes hemp flower buds.

Among the most famous strains worldwide is White Widow, a balanced hybrid first bred in the Netherlands by Green House Seeds. A cross between a Brazilian sativa landrace and a resin-heavy South Indian indica,  White Widow has blessed every Dutch coffee shop menu since its birth in the 1990s. Its buds are white with crystal resin, warning you of the potent effects to come. A powerful burst of euphoria and energy breaks through immediately, stimulating both conversation and creativity.

THCa vs THC

THCa stands for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid. It is the acidic precursor to THC, meaning that it’s produced in hemp flowers before THC, so THC cannot physically exist without THCa. CBD also comes from an acidic precursor called CBDa, CBG comes from CBGa, and so on.

These acidic compounds haven’t had a lot of research carried out on them just yet, so we know very little about their potential therapeutic benefits, but the little we do know is already very promising. Preclinical studies have shown that CBDa and CBGa may be able to prevent the Covid-19 virus from entering and infecting human cells (Soure: CBD Incubator)

THCa has already demonstrated potent antiemetic, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties, but the vast majority of people who are buying THCa flower are not looking to benefit from the anti-inflammatory effects of the compound. Instead, they’re usually buying it for the intoxicating effects of THC.

Does THCa flower get you high?

If you consume THCa flower raw (unheated) then you’ll be ingesting pure THCa which won’t get you high. But THCa products (including flower) will get you high if you smoke it, vape it, or decarboxylate it before consumption (just like regular cannabis).

You see, THCa turns into THC when you apply heat, through a process called decarboxylation. Current estimations say that around 87.7% of the THCa in flower will be converted into Delta-9 THC when you heat it, which of course happens automatically when you either smoke it.

This product contains a unique cannabinoid derived from INDUSTRIAL HEMP. The following legislation establishes the legality of Industrial Hemp produced in the state pilot agricultural programs. Congress provides the requisite definition for allowable amounts of Delta 9 THC.

“Industrial Hemp means the plant Cannabis Sativa L. and ANY part of such plant, whether growing or not, with Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than .3% on a dry weight basis”.

As such, any “industrial hemp” products are EXEMPT from the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.) and are perfectly legal to posses, use and distribute. An important legal distinction also appears in the first sentence of this bill, stating:

“Notwithstanding the Controlled Substance Act (21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.), the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (20 U.S.C. 7101 et seq.), Chapter 81 of Title 41, United States Code, or any other Federal law”.

The term “notwithstanding” was widely used by the 114th Congress as a way to supersede previous laws that may apply, without going through the process of overturning them.

This confirms that industrial hemp cannot be considered “marijuana” under the CSA.
